THE PROCESS

We are proud to say our maps are made from start to finish by hand in our Indiana workshop. As soon as you order, our in house cartographer will draw your map by hand, adding all of your requested points of interest. Within 7 business days of ordering, you will receive a PDF of your map file. At that time, you can make any changes or corrections before production.

Once the file is approved, it is sent to our close knit production team for completion. Our industrial laser cuts and engraves your map and it is then assembled and framed completely by hand with the utmost attention to detail. Our maps are best viewed without the distraction of glass, so your map will be framed without a glass covering. After assembly, your map is packaged with care and shipped to your door, ready to hang and enjoy!

Ordering Guide

Ordering a custom map is easy. Here’s how it works.

Ordering Process

Build your custom order using the tools at the top of this page. Start by selecting your map size, frame, and style. Then let us know what location you’d like. If there are specific areas you’d like included on the map, be sure to include that in the “Personalization or Special Instructions” field. Otherwise, we’ll use our best judgment to determine the map boundaries. After you’ve built your map to your liking, add it to your cart and complete your purchase. Custom maps can take up to 3 weeks to ship. If you need your map sooner, contact us before ordering for rush options.

Design Process

After you’ve submitted your order, we’ll get right to work drawing up your custom map. Be sure to keep an eye on your email, as we might reach out with questions or clarifications. If you have updates or changes during the design process, email info@thirtyaxis.com as soon as possible. We’ll have a digital PDF of your map to share with you within a week. We’ll send this to you for your approval. It’s important that you carefully review the file and let us know if you have any changes or corrections.

Production Process

After the design is approved, we’ll get your map into production. Each map is handcrafted by our team in Northern Indiana. After lasering, the map is assembled and framed by hand, then carefully packaged and sent your way. You’ll receive a shipping notification with tracking details as soon as its shipped. Orders shipping within the US are shipped with FedEx Home Delivery.

Frames

Standard Frames

Standard frames are included in the price of each maps. Standard frames are 2” wide wrapped MDF. The Midnight is a solid black option, while the Farmhouse features a woodgrain look and texture.

Premium Frames

Premium frames are an additional $25. Our 2” premium frames are made from real wood and feature a raised profile with a woodgrain texture. The Charcoal is a very dark brown, while the driftwood has a lighter finish.
